56TH MALAYSIA OPEN SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIP



The 56th Malaysia Open Swimming Championship 16-19 May 2013, saw some truly remarkable performance from our Malaysian swimmers. The most noteworthy performance is from national swimmer Kevin Yeap of Perak who broke the national record for 400m Freestyle and set a new time of 3:53.23. He went on to win the 1500m Freestyle.

National swimmer Siow Yi Ting of Negri Sembilan, broke 4 meet records and took home 5 gold medals. She made a clean sweep of the ladies breaststroke and individual-medley events. Selangor’s Lim Ching Hwang also put on a brilliant performance and took gold in the 50m,100m & 200m Freestyle. He set a new meet record for 200m Freestyle. Swimmers from Hong Kong and India also put up medal-winning performance.
