55th. Milo/PRAM Malaysia Open Swimming Championship


This year’s edition of the Malaysia Open Swimming Championship (3-6 May, 2012) was exhilarating especially since it’s an Olympic qualifier and attracted many outstanding swimmers. Held at Bukit Jalil, swimmers from 11 foreign countries competed in this championship. They included Australia, Botswana, Brunei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Iran, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Malaysian swimmers represented their respective states.

Outstanding performances were shown by Malaysian swimmers and record-breakers Kevin Yeap, Siow Yi Ting and Christina Loh; Khade Virdarwal and Sandeep Sejwal from India, I Gede Siman Sudartawa and Monaliza Lorenza of Indonesia and Quah Zheng Wen of Singapore. Indonesia hailed as overall champion.
