MSSS Aquatics 26 Feb - 01 March


The 2013 MSSS or Selangor School Sports Council aquatic sports is presently in progress at Pusat Akuatik Darul Ehsan, Shah Alam. This year sees participation from over 800 swimmers which bodes well for the swimming sports. Results would be posted on this site. Please visit us to keep abreast with the progress of the meet. Winners would be selected based on merit for competing in the national-level MSSM scheduled for 25 – 29 March at this venue.

The 23rd. PRAS JUNIOR SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS 2013 - commonly known as Selangor Age Groups, was held 21-January (Groups 4 and 5) and 1-3 February (Groups 1, 2 and 3). Pandemonium broke out at Pusat Akuatik Darul Ehsan, Shah Alam when current national swimmer Shaun Yap (17) of Pade-Supersharkz set a new national record for 50m Breaststroke. Shaun touched in at 00:29.12 breaking the previous record of 00:29.46. He also broke the 100m and 200m Breaststroke state records.

Nadia Adrianna Redza (13) also of Pade-Supersharkz showed her domination with a superb haul of 7 gold and 4 silver. Nadia who dominated the breaststroke and individual-medley races, broke a total of 4 records. Tan Khai Xin (8) and Yikai Ong (10) of Stingray along with girl swimmers Mei Wei Lam (10) of PADE-Supersharkz, Jo Jo Laking (10) and Mirthe Hofstede (14) of Klass Torpedoes put up brilliant performances although they did not emerge as best swimmer winners for their age categories. PADE-Supersharkz emerged as champion club with 2,471 points. Here are the highlights:
