Why do goggles fog?

Condensation, lotions and sunscreens in the water can fog-up your goggles.

Goggles improve underwater visibility and protect your eyes. Goggles fog-up because of temperature difference between the outside of the lens cooled by water and the inside warmed by body temperature. Moisture droplets form and are transferred to the inside of the goggle lens. Lotions, sunscreens and other oils also cause goggles to fog-up.

NASA developed the first anti-fog treatments and these have since been applied to lenses via surfactants and hydrophilic coatings. Still anti-fog cleansers are needed. VIEW of Tabata, Japan produce some of the best anti-fog goggles. They undergo rigorous processing beginning with a dust-free environment and a high-tech baking process. VIEW TV 331 and TV 330A anti-fog treatment cleansers are highly-effective, non-irritating, long-lasting, of high-viscosity and easy to apply.

Applying anti-fog cleansers properly is important to ensure maximal function. Spray some solution on the surface of the lens and clean with a soft tissue. Repeat this process and use your fingers and spread the liquid solution around. Use the same tissue for a final wipe.

KEEP CLEANSING LIQUID AWAY FROM CONTACT WITH THE EYES!
